If you thrive in remote work environments with minimal supervision, Future Africa International (FAI) wants to hear from you!
FAI is looking for five dedicated young professionals to join our Executive team. This team will play a crucial role in ensuring operational success, strategic alignment, and impactful program delivery.
Interested candidates must have a strong internet connection and be willing to work on a voluntary basis while gaining valuable experience and exposure. Travel may be required based on program needs. Successful candidates will receive a 2-year contract, subject to review upon completion.

Available Positions
1. Executive Director/CEO
Location: Remote/On-site
Reports to: FAI Board of Directors
The Executive Director/CEO will provide vital leadership for FAI, shaping its vision, strategy, and direction. This role includes securing funding, building partnerships, and ensuring alignment between FAI’s mission and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set and guide the organization’s vision and long-term strategies.
- Ensure financial sustainability and manage fundraising efforts.
- Engage with stakeholders to advocate for FAI’s mission globally.
- Oversee daily operations, staff, and programs, ensuring compliance with governance policies.
- Monitor program impacts and ensure alignment with our mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or related fields.
- 0-2 years of NGO experience, preferably in leadership roles.
- Proven experience in strategic leadership, fundraising, and financial management.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills.
2. Communications & Advocacy Director
Location: Remote/On-site
Reports to: Executive Director
This role is essential for shaping FAI’s public image and driving global advocacy efforts. The Communications & Advocacy Director will manage the organization’s messaging and ensure FAI’s voice is heard on key issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy.
- Manage relationships with media outlets and oversee public relations activities.
- Drive global advocacy campaigns in alignment with FAI’s mission.
- Create content for social media, newsletters, and the website.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, International Relations, Marketing, or related fields.
- 1-3 years of experience in communications or public affairs.
- Proven experience managing digital communication platforms and social media.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist
Location: Remote/On-site
Reports to: Executive Director
The M&E Specialist will assess the effectiveness and impact of FAI’s projects, designing frameworks for tracking progress and ensuring accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design M&E frameworks to track project progress and outcomes.
- Develop indicators and tools for accurate data collection.
- Conduct evaluations and provide actionable reports on project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation within the non-profit sector.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills.
- Familiarity with M&E software and tools.
4. Program Director
Location: Remote/On-site
Reports to: Executive Director
The Program Director will oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs aligned with FAI’s mission, ensuring projects are delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new programs and initiatives.
- Manage day-to-day operations of multiple projects.
- Lead and mentor program staff and volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Public Administration, or related fields.
- 1+ years of program management experience.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
5. Finance Director
Location: Remote/On-site
Reports to: Executive Director
The Finance Director will oversee FAI’s financial operations, ensuring compliance and maintaining financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor the organization’s budget.
- Provide financial analysis and forecasts for strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and prepare for audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields (CPA/CFA or master’s preferred).
- 1+ years of experience in financial management.
- Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting and grant management.
