Flood Risk Mapping and Early Action System for Mozambique

We are thrilled to announce that our innovative project, “Flood Risk Mapping and Early Action System for Mozambique,” has been shortlisted by the NASA Lifelines Ready for Impact program and we are among the finalists.
In collaboration with Africa Research University and other key stakeholders, this project aims to tackle Mozambique’s acute vulnerability to hydro-meteorological disasters; particularly floods and cyclones that have displaced millions and caused substantial economic losses.
By leveraging satellite-based geospatial intelligence, real-time flood modeling, and remote sensing technologies, we aim to develop an advanced early warning system to enhance predictive analytics and strengthen disaster mitigation strategies.
Kudos to our chapter team in Mozambique for making this possible!
