Founder
David Chikwaza brings over five years of leadership experience in the NGO sector, specializing in project management and climate change initiatives. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Dublin City University, Ireland, where his research focuses on rural smallholder indigenous farmers’ knowledge and practices in adapting to climate risks in agriculture. He holds an MSc in International Relations, a BSc (Hons) in Politics and Administration, and a BA in English Literature and Chinese. His diverse academic background, combined with his hands-on professional experience, equips him with strong leadership, research, and analytical skills. He excels in critical decision-making, financial management, networking, advocacy, communication, writing, and mentoring, bringing a holistic approach to his work.

Co-Founder
Charles S. Mambiya brings a strong blend of economic expertise and technological savvy to an African youth-oriented NGO. With a BSc (Hons) in Economics and extensive experience in business strategy, industry design, and human capital management, he is skilled at driving growth and fostering innovation. His expertise in enterprise software and financial analysis enables him to optimize performance and lead high-performing teams. Charles’ proven ability to enhance productivity and deliver transformative change makes him a valuable asset in empowering African youth and driving sustainable impact.

Co-Founder
Lerato Olga Pauline Maku brings a strong background in African Feminist & Gender Studies, International Relations, and International Politics, along with significant experience in strategic leadership and policy advocacy. Her role as Executive Assistant at the Pan African Federation of Accountants have equipped her with skills in funding sourcing, annual planning, research, and advocacy aligned with AU Agenda 2063 and Vision 2030. Fluent in multiple languages (including French), she excels in cross-cultural communication, conflict resolution, and crisis management, making her a valuable asset to a youth-focused NGO.

CEO
Mary Patrick is a dynamic leader, systems thinker, and business coach dedicated to fostering sustainable change across Africa. She is also a Consultant and Training Assistant at SAYDS Kenya, where she facilitates interactive learning sessions, equipping young people with systems thinking and leadership skills. Mary is also a Fellow at the Green Institute, where she actively promotes environmental sustainability and climate action. Additionally, Mary is a Dyslexia Advocate, championing inclusive education and awareness for individuals with learning differences. Mary is also a Business Coach at the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), where she mentors aspiring entrepreneurs, guiding them in business development, strategic planning, and financial literacy.

Deputy CEO
Sheikh Mohamed is experienced Program Manager with over eight years of expertise in project management, climate finance, and international development. He has demonstrated success in originating and managing high-impact projects in Sierra Leone, including renewable energy systems, reforestation initiatives, and sustainable agri-foods systems. He is also adept at fostering strategic partnerships, engaging stakeholders, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver results aligned with sustainable development and climate adaptation goals.

Programs Director
Julius is a highly experienced Program Manager and Training Expert with over 12 years of expertise in managing Programs, with expertise in livelihood systems, financial inclusion, and building resilience in vulnerable communities. He is a professional whose expertise lies in delivering livelihood improvements, enhancing financial inclusion, and building resilience in marginalized communities through strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and capacity building. He also has expertise in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) which has enabled consistency in tracking progress and implement improvements in program delivery, ensuring alignment with community needs and donor expectations. Specializing in humanitarian and development contexts, Julius has also led multi-sectoral programs focused on rural livelihoods, community-based financial systems, and climate adaptation.

Communications & Advocacy Director
Julius is an experienced development communication and advocacy specialist with over 8 years of expertise in digital communication, youth programming, youth engagement, project management, media relations, and stakeholder engagement. Julius is also the West and Central Africa Regional Coordinator for the Mobilizing Alumni Project at Plan International, where he oversees cohorts of youth-led groups and advocacy initiatives aimed at championing gender equality, SRHR, girls’ empowerment, youth leadership, and climate action.
